* Bombshell *

What do you think of when you hear “bombshell?” Do you think of a bodacious model with big lips and bouncy hair? Maybe you think of Adele with the classic pouty lips at the Grammys or maybe you think of an elegant Victoria’s Secret model strutting down the runway. Being a wedding hair stylist in North Carolina I know a bit about big and beautiful hair! Wherever your mind goes the one thing these women have in common is Hot Rollers!  Big bouncy soft curls are back and we are going to help you create them for yourself at home in ½ the time you think! Many professional hair stylists have these in their arsenal. Weather your wedding is in Asheville or LA we will see them being used more and more.

How do you choose?!

With everything available for purchase today it’s easy to get lost in the chaos of Sephora, leave without making a purchase or buying WAY too much. The best thing about hot rollers is that they have been around for a very long time. This is great news for the consumer, the technology is simple and it closes the gap between drugstore and professional. Hot-rollers don’t get hot enough to create real damage to your hair when using them on a weekly basis but they are hot enough to be effective and create a lasting style.

Honestly, the hot rollers I use on a regular basis are Conair Jumbo Rollers. I have long hair and my goal with hot rollers is not curling but creating big, soft, bouncy waves. The kind that effortlessly fall into place and look like you have spent an hour on your hair. Don’t worry, we won’t tell that you only spent a total of ten minutes start to finish!

Usually, I never recommend buying drugstore hair products but this is one of my exceptions! You can pick these rollers up at target for about $24. For that price its a no brainer to add these tools to your cabinet.

Other options

Weather you have used rollers for a long time and have decided it’s time to upgrade or you simply want to start out with the best of the best products, may we recommend the products below

Vokai Labs– Great for short hair, Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium, Paul Mitchell Neuro Cell and T3 Voluminous Hot Rollers

Most of these companies will have videos or links to show you the best ways of using hot rollers for your hair type. is a great resource for finding easy hair tips and tricks.

Don’t forget!!!

No matter if you are letting your hair air dry or using a curling iron it is important to always protect your hair. Using the right products is a must! If you are using hot tools please invest in a product that helps protect your hair from the heat. Sometimes these products are a two in one. For example Living Proof’s “Blowout” helps to give you protection and hold all at once. Products and the proper cut are the foundation for any style! Don’t skimp on either, a strong base is where happy healthy hair begins!

Enjoy happy hair! -Cheers!
